Though Lestat is arguably the main character in most of the Vampire Chronicles books, Akasha only appears in the third book: Queen of the Damned. One of the books in that series, Interview with the Vampire, was made into a motion picture starring Tom Cruise as Lestat. Another book, Queen of the Damned, was recently made into a motion picture starring Stuart Townsend as Lestat and Aaliyah as Akasha (the Queen of the Damned).
