DVD Summary:
When exposure to demon blood causes Angel to become mortal, he must decide whether or not to renew his relationship with Buffy.
Del Commentary:
I think the summary is lying to you here. There is no 'decision' of whether Angel's gonna renew his relationship with Buffy - they just kinda hop into bed and go with it. The decision is Angel trying to deal with his newfound lack of vampy-superpowers vs. Buffy's slayer-superpowers. Despite being kinda sappy, I liked this episode (even though my old B/A shipper braincells refired and had a fight with every other shipper-cell in my body...). It's in character for B/A and deals with some of Angel's issues. I mean, sure, every re-souled vamp wants to become human, but once it's there, it's not all it's cracked up to be. There's the eating and peeing and dying to worry about. Damn those natural bodily functions. And (like you expected anything else) we get to watch plenty of star-crossed-lovers-angst and SMG's skills at crying. Angel will go on to vamp another day.
