Our story begins in an everyday ~Xenite shipper community. Okay, admittedly Xenite shipper communities weren’t so everyday back then, but that’s besides the point of this tale.
Once upon a time there was a quiet and mostly calm shipper girl, Delenn.
Like many other young shipper girls she dreamed of true love and great fanfiction. But she was a tad behind in the times. Still hiding out in the ~NUTforum™.
After the disaster that was *SOF she was invited by her good friend, *the wonderful… into the ~Official Ares & Xena Shipper Club.
Life was good, uneventful (Aside from the occasional frustrating episode) but good. And then one day a new girl came to town.
*Luvya was sweet, funny and kind. Her and Delenn became fast friends. Their generation of teenagers became a tight little group.
Then *Luvya and several others (I’m keeping ya’ll anonymous, be proud.) started a gang of wild, crazy, funny and utterly insane shipper girls. Delenn joined soon after.
*The GANG™ was born.
Nothing was ever the same for our once calm heroine.
The changes were subtle, at first.
She was given the nickname Del.
Del started writing fanfiction, which quickly grew to a large obsession.
Her posts became more opinionated, bold and sometimes rash.
*The GANG™ were constantly getting in fights. Some playful: some serious: With other members and amongst themselves.
One day, *a resident fanfiction goddess decided that Delenn (as she still mostly went by) needed to start a website of her own. And stop forcing *the wonderful… to code and put up her stories. Even if it was mostly voluntary! ;)
After much blackmail and threatening to never give out fanfiction again, it was decided. And *resident fanfiction goddess took it upon herself to teach Delenn the ropes of webmistressing. A daunting task indeed.
For lack of a more original title, or any imaginative ideas, Born For War was created.
Through many redesigns, bad ideas, good ideas, and expansions of this site, an evolution happened.
And Del was truly born.
Nowadays Del commonly refers to herself in third person, and has become rather manic about expanding and updating ~*Born For War*~.
Del has a fascination with Vampire television shows and books, which is severely unnerving her mother.
She also enjoys listening to such artists as Nelly, Eminem, Eve, Gwen Stefani, and Craig David.
She blabbers on endlessly about her various obsessions. Spike, Darla, Websites, HTML, Java and Television in general.
Family, friends, and total strangers have described the look in her eyes when given an opportunity to start in on her many favorite obsessions as ‘An Unholy Sparkle™’.
And that, darlings, ends our tale.
